Street Heroes: Spot a Neighbourhood Pet
October 15, 2026 11:10 am – November 30, 2026 11:10 am
Log In to EnterEvery street has its own characters: the shop cat who guards the doorway, the friendly stray who knows everyone, the dog waiting patiently outside the bakery. This challenge is about spotting them and sharing their story.
Snap a photo of a street pet in the wild and tell us what makes them special. The community votes, and the most-liked entry wins.
How it works:
1. Take a photo of a street pet, stray, community cat or neighbourhood dog you’ve come across
2. Submit it here before the deadline, with a short caption about where and how you met them (the general area is fine)
3. Like your favourite entries. The most-liked photo wins!
What we love to see:
• Candid moments, such as a stray mid-stretch, a sleepy cat on a scooter or a dog people-watching
• Pets looking healthy, relaxed and cared for
• Stories of kindness, like a bowl of water left out or a neighbour who feeds them
Please be kind to the animals:
• Keep a respectful distance and never chase, corner or force a pet to pose
• Don’t use flash close to their eyes
• If a pet looks injured, sick or in distress, please contact a local rescue or vet instead of waiting for the perfect shot
Good luck, and thank you for looking out for the pets on our streets!
How to Take Part
One photo per person. Use your own photo, and keep people, car number plates and house addresses out of the picture. Share only the general area in your caption, never an exact address. Be gentle with the animal and don't disturb it for a photo.
